- No long-carry or fuel surcharges. Distance from the truck to your door is on us, and so is the gas to get there.
- The quote is the price. We confirm the rate before we begin. No rounding up, no line-item surprises at the end.
Accepted payment methods
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), cash, Zelle, Apple Pay, and Venmo. Payment collected after the job is complete. A receipt is provided every time.

Based in San Francisco and covering the whole Bay Area, up the Peninsula, across to the East Bay, and down to the South Bay. The core zone is a flat rate with no travel fee, and we'll quote anything beyond it.
Core zone: flat rate, no travel fee
All of San Francisco (including the Sunset), Daly City, South San Francisco, and down the Peninsula through San Mateo to Palo Alto. Across the bay: Richmond, Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda, San Leandro, Castro Valley, Hayward, San Ramon, and Walnut Creek.
Boundaries
North: up to Mill Valley and San Rafael. East: out through San Ramon and Walnut Creek.
South Bay: on request
Not a standard zone, but available on request with a flat $10 surcharge, including Mountain View, Palo Alto, and San Jose.
Beyond the zone
Anything past the coverage area is quoted by mileage. Contact us for a price.

All services are billed per person, per hour. Rates are: Moving Help $55, Furniture Assembly $62, Heavy Lifting $65, Cleaning $65, and Trash & Junk Removal $29. Junk removal also carries disposal fees that are always quoted upfront. There are no extra charges for stairs, long carries, or fuel.
Yes. Stairwise carries liability and cargo insurance on every job. We're happy to provide a certificate of insurance for your building on request, just ask when you book.
Never. Stairs and walk-ups are exactly what Stairwise is built for. Steep San Francisco hills, four-flight climbs, and narrow Victorian staircases are all included in your hourly rate. No surprise surcharges.
Absolutely. Furniture assembly is a standalone service. Whether it's a single flat-pack wardrobe or a full apartment of new furniture, we'll build it, level it, mount what needs mounting, and remove all the packaging.
Booking a few days ahead is ideal, but we keep same-day and next-day slots open across the city. Call or request a quote and we'll tell you exactly what's available.
